video keeps freezing for me and sound is out of sync...
this happens very often with the 720 releases for me

sometimes that happens to me too but its because I am doing something else on
the computer at the same time. Maybe that's your case or you have a slow computer.

are you using VLC Player? However it needs muscle like a dual Pentium. On less
powerful machines use MPC + CoreAVC. This combination can pull it even on a
Celeron machine.

aydin i got k lite codec pack full and im using wmp
the very last dexter torrent works great for me but not the 720p version that
were commenting on. is the coreavc codec that much better than k lite?
anyways this is the only show it has trouble with everything else on this site
works flawlessly so i dont think its a computer problem on my part (ie: slow
processor etc)
while im on a technical note:
anyone else unable to uninstall google web accelerator? its not on my
computer it just sits in add/remove programs and when i try to remove it, it
says it needs an imput source blah blah
that wasn't related to this site but i figured id throw it out there.
love ya eztv

Unfortunately BAD choice WMP is crap and the k-lite codec pack full is overkill
too much stuff that you do not need and on top confusing the easily duped WMP.

So do try VLC Player and if that does not do it then your only choice is to buy
CoreAVC and use MPC.

On my media PC I use MPC with just DivX, CoreAVC and AC3 plus VobSub for
subtitles. That is all and works with everything.

Is it worth buying? I agree with you the k lite mega pack is overkill and
coreAVC is only 8 bucks i would buy it in a heartbeat if its that worthwhile

I would suggest just getting one of the free ffdshow codec packs, lets you play
near enough anything in Windows Media Player and Centre.

I use mplayer optimized for my platform (p4 3.0 ghz winXP), it actually can do
720p very well. So instead of getting the general platform independent version
of mplayer or VLC, get one optimized for your hardware, it really does show a
remarkable difference.

Heh, I copied my mplayer over to my bros computer (athlon) and it kept crashing
and I couldn't figure out why.
