Because it's in HD-quality. In other words, much better quality. Hence the size.

It was actually only one new episode, the "2 hours" thanks to ABC's marketing
department, included the recap episode, which I doubt they will release in 720p

unfortunately, they don't always do those because everyone seems to be all
addicted to their 720p.
