Yes I love this show to BUT....everyone should be aware that the section on Martian Water was completely misleading and contained many errors. This was perhaps so the principal of Mars Phoenix wouldnt have to explain why that mission is a waste of money. The water has already been found, frozen at the poles but around equator, temps reach 20c in the summer and LIQUID SURFACE WATER has been imaged by both ESAs MArs Express and JPLs Mars Global Surveyor. Also the thermal emission spectrometer on Global Surveyor showed heavyu concentratin of water (completely against NASAs "dry, old Mars" model) in the Tharsis and Arabia bulges, which are so-called "ani-podal bulges" exactly opposite on each side of the planet. These are ALWAYS caused by tidall forces. The water flows on Mars, but JPL seems hellbent on following their "mission timeline". Thanx for the up |

Ya, great series, thanks to all. FYI: Here's my NA$A rant: It seems to me that NA$A is the most expensive hobby ever, and we pay for it. For the most part, I think NA$A is a waste of money and a hyped scam (like the star wars program). Just follow the money trail, from our pockets to empty space. I'm not saying get rid of NA$A, just at least dump the idea of putting people into space, as it's way too expensive. All those great minds at NA$A should be working on new energy solutions for us here, or they could be doing real Sci-Fi. We should nationalize our energy sources and programs and focus on the goal of new, better energy. I'm sick of hearing that our destiny is in space. Fine, maybe in 2,000 more years we might be able to survive beyond the protection of our earth. Get real. "Keep breeding, there's room on Mars"..?.. NOT. |
