About the show, "Biography"

The Biography Channel (or simply bio.) is an American digital cable television channel owned by A&E and based on the television series of the same name, "Biography"
Get to know some of the most fascinating people of all time with BIOGRAPHY. From actors to activists, from scientists to Supreme Court justices, each episode examines its topic in depth. Commentary by those close to the subject - friends, family members, associates, historians, or other experts - help create a vivid, historically accurate portrait.
BIOGRAPHY has set the standard for the biographical documentary. Recognized numerous times for its achievements, the series has won the EMMY Award for Outstanding Nonfiction Series from the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences twice. It is the longest-running, single-topic documentary series on television.
The program became so big and profiling enough figures that in 1999, A&E spun it off into an entire network, "Biography Channel".
In addition to biographical shows, the network has been airing fictional, non-biographical programming previously seen on A&E.
