"Awkward." centers around a social outcast, Jenna Hamilton who, after receiving a "carefrontation" letter she has an accident making it seem as if she had tried to commit suicide, starts being noticed by all the students at her school. By making changes and embracing her misfortune, she becomes well-known by her peers. While dealing with her love life and her relationships with other peers she still has to manage the daily drama that comes along with being a teenager.
