Spears in talks to star in 'The Simpsons' Eli Stone Login to vote
Britney Spears is in talks to make a guest appearance in The Simpsons.

The singer's famous video for 'Hit Me Baby One More Time' will be spoofed in a scene at Bart’s school in the animated US series.

Yeardley Smith, who voices the character Lisa Simpson, said: "Britney is ripe for the picking. But we have to do it well - I don’t want to be cruel."

A US TV source said: “There are talks ongoing and it’s hopeful it will happen.

“The appearance would be a positive one. Never mind what’s happening in her private life, Britney is big again.”

Spears' comeback single 'Gimme More' and album Blackout reached number three and two in the UK charts respectively.

Smith recently revealed that she would like to see England's Prime Minister, Gordon Brown follow in the footsteps of Tony Blair by making an appearance.
