NBC (households: 7.2/11, #T1; adults 18-49: 4.0, #T1) and FOX (households: 7.0/11, #3; adults 18-49: 4.0, #T1) split the adults 18-49 crown on Thursday as the former served up a special "Deal or No Deal" (households: 8.2/13, #2, half-hour: 15.79%; adults 18-49: 3.7, #3, half-hour: 31.25%), the premiere of "The Celebrity Apprentice" (households: 7.0/11, #5, half-hour: 4.41%; adults 18-49: 4.5, #1, half-hour: 9.30%) and a new "ER" (households: 6.4/10, #6, half-hour: -4.62%; adults 18-49: 3.6, #4, half-hour: -5.41%).

Compared with the launch of "The Apprentice: Los Angeles" last year (households: 5.7/9, #T13; adults 18-49: 4.1 on 1/7/07), the Donald Trump-hosted series was up 22.81% in households and 9.76% in adults 18-49.

FOX then offered up a "BCS Bowl Pre-Game" (households: 6.0/10, #7, half-hour: N/A; adults 18-49: 3.4, #T5, half-hour: N/A) and its "Orange Bowl: Kansas vs. Virginia Tech" (households: 7.1/11, #3, half-hour: -4.00%; adults 18-49: 4.1, #2, half-hour: -6.82%) coverage.

Third place fell to CBS (households: 7.2/11, #T1; adults 18-49: 2.6, #3) with its all-repeat lineup of "Without a Trace" (households: 5.6/9, #8, half-hour: 9.43%; adults 18-49: 1.8, #10, half-hour: 18.75%), "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" (households: 8.7/14, #1, half-hour: 8.43%; adults 18-49: 3.4, #T5, half-hour: 9.38%) and "Without a Trace" (households: 7.3/12, #4, half-hour: -1.37%; adults 18-49: 2.6, #7, half-hour: 0.00%).

Meanwhile, ABC (households: 3.9/6, #4; adults 18-49: 1.8, #4) likewise offered up its all-repeat mix of "Ugly Betty" (households: 3.7/6, #10, half-hour: -5.26%; adults 18-49: 1.5, #11, half-hour: 7.14%), "Grey's Anatomy" (households: 4.4/7, #9, half-hour: -6.67%; adults 18-49: 2.0, #8, half-hour: 0.00%) and "Desperate Housewives" (households: 3.6/6, #11, half-hour: -5.41%; adults 18-49: 1.9, #9, half-hour: -5.26%).

And finally, repeats of "Smallville" (households: 1.5/2, #12, half-hour: 0.00%; adults 18-49: 0.9, #12, half-hour: -11.11%) and "Supernatural" (households: 1.3/2, #13, half-hour: 0.00%; adults 18-49: 0.8, #13, half-hour: 0.00%) on The CW (households: 1.4/2, #5; adults 18-49: 0.8, #5) closed out the night.

In late-night metered market ratings, NBC's "Leno" (4.2/10) took top honors followed by CBS's "Letterman" (3.8/9) and ABC's "Nightline" (3.1/7). Rounding out the night then were "Kimmel" (1.5/5) on ABC, "Ferguson" (1.8/6) on CBS and "Conan" (2.1/7) and "Daly" (1.2/5) on NBC.
