Kristen Bell in a new ABC pilot? Law and Order: Special Victims Unit Login to vote
Aloha!

I am back today from the isle of Lost and Kristen Bell and surf and sun and golf-cart orgy talk (no joke—more on that later).

That island, of course, is Oahu, Hawaii. And I’ll be sharing the goodies from my trip a little closer to the return of Lost and the premiere of Forgetting Sarah Marshall (the new Judd Apatow comedy which stars Kristen, Jason Segel and others stars we love), but for now I simply cannot wait to tell you the most jaw-dropping, giddy-good, exclusive news of all:

Kristen Bell is in talks to rejoin forces with her Veronica Mars boss, Rob Thomas!

(I’ll wait while you spontaneously break into a happy hula dance.)

Kristen herself tells me (with a big ol’ Veronica-like, canary-eating grin) that, “yes, there is talk” of her signing onto one of Rob’s new TV series for this fall.

In case you hadn’t heard, Rob is one-upping Josh Schwartz in his plot to take over television (the world?) and helming three fall pilots: the CW’s Beverly Hills, 90210 remake, ABC’s Cupid remake and ABC’s dramedy based on the New Zealand series Outrageous Fortune.

So which series is it?

Reliable insiders confirm that Kristen has been offered a role as one of the daughters on ABC’s Outrageous Fortune remake, and that Rene Russo is very close to signing on as the mother. The series is about a family of criminals, in which the father gets sent to the clinker and the mother decides to set everyone straight.

The question is whether Kristen’s busy shooting schedule can be worked out, given her commitments to upcoming projects, Gossip Girl voice-overs and, of course, NBC’s Heroes, which is hoping to have her back for at least five episodes.

We’ll have much, much more from Kristen—including her words on what’s really happening with Heroes—in the next Watch with Kristin show.
