'Full on' appearance by the Tenth Doctor... David Tennant will star as the Doctor in the forthcoming series of The Sarah Jane Adventures. Rumours have been rife for some time that the Time Lord would feature in a cameo on the hit CBBC show but Executive Producer Russell T Davies recently announced that this 'would be a full-on appearance'. Elizabeth Sladen, who plays the headstrong journalist Sarah Jane Smith, commented, 'It's fantastic news that Sarah Jane is going to spend some time working with the Doctor again and is testament to just how successful this CBBC series is.' Tennant and Sladen have starred together in School Reunion, The Stolen Earth and Journey's End but this is the first time the Doctor has materialised in Sarah Jane's show. Sladen said she was 'over the moon' to be re-united with the Tenth Doctor and Russell T Davies enthused, 'Viewers thought they may have to wait until November for the next full episode of Doctor Who, but this is an extra special treat,' adding that the Doctor and Sarah Jane will 'face their biggest threat ever'. The third series of The Sarah Jane Adventures debuts later in 2009.
