According to reports from Digital Spy, Victoria Beckham has signed on to be a guest judge on the new series of American Idol. The former popstar is set to pocket Â£150,000 from the two episode deal, which was finalised by Simon Cowell. It is believed that she was offered a permenant place but opted for the temporary placement, due to other commitments. These rumours come after the news that Paula Abdul quit the talent show after 8 seasons. A source told us : "Victoria is hugely flattered as this is one of the highest profile gigs in America. It really is a big deal. Her husband David may be getting a bit of stick at the moment but Victoria's profile Stateside has never been higher. "Network bosses would love to give her the job full-time and it looks like it's there for her if she wants it. But at the moment, Victoria's main priority is fashion. She doesn't really need any distractions." Beckham is expected to start filming this week.
