In Plain Sight renewed for third season by USA Network
Posted on 02 August 2009 by Robert Seidman

Fans of USA Networks’s Sunday lineup will be happy to learn that In Plain Site has been renewed for a third season and the network is close to finalizing a deal for Law & Order: Criminal Intent according to a report from The Hollywood Reporter.

In Plain Sight and soon Law & Order: CI will join Burn Notice and the freshman hit, Royal Pains which have already been renewed.

Like Burn Notice and Royal Pains, In Plain Sight received a 16 episode order.

But THR notes interestingly that the show’s two executive producers, creator David Maples and Paul Stupin will move further behind the scenes next year and remain only as consultants.

USA plans to bring in a new executive producer who will give the series “a little more narrative drive,” according to THR.

The network is considering a variety of scheduling options for its third season. Don’t be surprised to see the show air an hour earlier and be paired with a new show, especially given how well Royal Pains launch went under similar circumstances when Burn Notice moved from 10pm to 9pm
