SyFy keeps Warehouse Open Warehouse 13 Login to vote
Second season granted for romantic sci-fi romp

True Blood isn't the only cable program that's having a kick-ass summer. SyFy's Warehouse 13 has defied (our) expectations and is pulling in some impressive ratings during this slow television season. According to the network, the program has averaged more than 4 million viewers during its debut season, and that performance has not gone unnoticed.

SyFy announced today that it will bring back Warehouse 13 for a second season, much to the delight of those who enjoy light-hearted semi-romantic science-fiction comedy-drama hybrids with a side of adventure and nifty gadgets.

Warehouse 13's critical reception was lukewarm, but with its humor, broad appeal, and lightweight storylines (read: less "nerdy"), it is exemplary of the recently made-over network's new direction. Warehouse 13 follows two flirty secret service agents who are tasked with finding and returning paranormal objects to the titular warehouse for the U.S. government. The show is primed to pull down the best ratings ever for the first season of a SyFy original program. The season one finale airs September 22.
