'24' season eight premiere draws 11.4m	24	Login to vote
Last night's season eight premiere of 24 performed well for Fox, early viewing figures show. The first two hours of the new season - covering 4pm to 6pm - averaged 11.4m across the 8pm to 10pm period, slipping from its first half-hour to its second and holding steady for the rest of the night. Earlier, at 8pm, Human Target's series premiere drew 10.1m. The Golden Globes ceremony, which aired between 8pm and 11pm, pulled in an average of 16.9m for NBC. ABC's Extreme Makeover: Home Edition repeat took 5.9m at 8pm, then 11.2m tuned in for Desperate Housewives at 9pm. Brothers & Sisters followed immediately afterwards, drawing 8m. Over on CBS, 60 Minutes and Cold Case logged 18.1m and 10.7m at 8pm and 9pm respectively, then 9.7m watched an NCIS rerun during the 10pm hour.
