Sam Trammell has teased fans over what to expect from his character in upcoming True Blood episodes. The 38-year old's alter ego Sam Merlotte was at the centre of season two's mystery when his shape-shifting nature was exposed and he killed maenad Maryann Forrester. Speaking to SFX, Trammell said that season three will introduce fans to Sam's biological family. "A lot of people know he's a shape-shifter now, like Andy, Jason and Sookie. He's slowly getting revealed and the more he gets revealed, the chains that have been binding him - as far as trying to keep who he is secret goes - are slowly breaking." He added: "[Next season] Sam says, 'Screw it! I want to go find my parents.' It's going to lead to some pretty dramatic and interesting stuff for him this year." Trammell also revealed that the season three opener will see Sam getting to know his real family, who he describes as "pretty bad news". Source: Digital Spy
