NBC cancels 'Mercy,' 'Trauma'	Mercy	Login to vote
Some have wondered how far ratings need to drop on an NBC show to get cancelled. Here it is. NBC has put the medical drama "Mercy" out of its misery. The long-struggling Wednesday night drama most recently pulled a 1.0 rating among adults 18-49 in the 9 p.m. hour. The network also officially pulled the plug on its other freshman medical drama this season, "Trauma." NBC executives indicated the show was cancelled once already this season, then ordered a few additional episodes once it became clear "The Jay Leno Show" wasn't going to last. "Trauma" was averaging around a 1.7 rating in its final days. "Mercy" and "Trauma" joins "Law & Order" on the NBC axe-list, which after a protracted struggle officially got cut this morning.
