I.P.S Season Finale Has Us Begging For More... Marshall, That Is In Plain Sight Login to vote
Never before have I ever so seriously contemplated violence towards my television set then I did at the final scene of the In Plain Sight season finale.
"You need someone who challenges you, gets in your face, calls on your B.S." Marshall told Mary, leaning precariously over her desk with his intense gaze."Someone who makes you think." Just as we were sitting at the edges of our seats, clinging for dear life to your remote controls as the moment of complete silence enveloped the WitSec office and we were certain the wheels were spinning in Mary's brain and connecting the dots- Stan walks in- Now, we all love Stan, his bald-headedness and that face-dominating nose of his. But I dearly, dearly wished a sniper had taken him out, quickly and silently, before he had a chance to ruin it. Mary stands up from her desk and rushes to her boss to ask about another witness, and Marshall... Oh, Marshall, Marshall, Marshall... is left leaning over her now-empty desk chair, and watching as the woman he loves leaves him just as he decides to declare his feelings for her.
How many times had I kicked my family out of the livingroom and my brother out of the house so I could immerse myself in the world of In Plain Sight, all in anticipating for when the season finale would arrive, and Marshall would finally tell undeserving Mary that he loves her? How many times this year had I practically squealed on the phone to my friends, insisting "This is the season!! This is the one, I just know it!". And then as if that wasn't bad enough that Mary practically ripped out Marshall heart, she might as well do the riverdance on what's left of it once Marshall finds out about her and that.. That.. That bleepity-bleep Agent Faber!! Augh.. Not happy. Not to mention, Marshall- being his selfless self- will not say anything to Mary until her and Faber are long over, he won't want her to be influenced by hurt feelings once the baffoon dumps her without a second thought; no, no Marshall doesn't do that (very much unlike Faber who, upon discovering Mary was recently broken up with Raph, declared "Well hey, then it's my lucky day!") . Marshall will let her cry on his shoulder and comfort her, and wait for the day when he can finally try again. Until next season, we'll just have to somehow hold to our sanity, and like Marshall, we will wait..
