McG 'still working on Charlie's Angels'	Login to vote
McG has confirmed that a planned reboot of the Charlie's Angels franchise for television is still in the works. A new version of the series was originally announced in November last year. McG - real name Joseph McGinty Nichol - explained to Fancast that the project is still in development. According to the producer, Hollywood star Drew Barrymore, Nancy Juvoven and original series executive Leonard Goldberg “are working on it. They’re just waiting to see if the script comes together, and then we’ll talk about it”. Barrymore previously starred in the two Charlie's Angels feature films released in 2000 and 2003, which McG directed. He explained that the new series had been in development for the 2010-11 television season, but was later dropped. “Everybody’s very protective of the idea," he said. "You just want to get it right.” McG currently works as executive producer on The CW's new action-drama Nikita, due to premiere on September 9.
