Back in June, i posted an article about Fear Factor that went pretty much commentless (https://eztv.it/tvnews/5773/fear-factor-returning-to-tv/) We really don't have any new information, other than it looks like it's a GO from NBC (probably due to the fact that the network is barely above the CW these days.) Full article follows: 'Fear Factor' is heading back to NBC this December. The returning reality show will take the Monday night timeslot previously occupied by 'The Sing Off.' 'The Sing Off' ends Mon., Dec. 5 and 'Fear Factor' premieres with a two-hour episode Mon., Dec. 12. Joe Rogan returns as host and for the first time the series will be broadcast in HD. "We have taken the groundbreaking 'Fear Factor' franchise that many fans remember fondly and have ramped it up to make it even more challenging and competitive than ever before," Paul Telegdy, president of alternative and late night programming at NBC, said in a statement. "Once again, the contestants will have to face their ultimate fears to prevail -- and the tension and drama of that process will make for some riveting television." 'Fear Factor' contestants will once again be competing for a $50,000 prize and participate in stunts named "Towering Inferno" and "Helicopter TNT Crash." The competitors will be four teams of two. NBC has ordered eight episodes of the series. When NBC announced the return of 'Fear Factor,' executive producer Matt Kunitz told AOL TV it would be much bigger production. "Our mandate from the network is we can't bring it back unless this is going to be a better and bigger version," Kunitz said.
