Now, 15 years later, life is back to what it once was long before the industrial revolution: families living in quiet cul-de-sacs, and when t...

The sci-fi cult favorite from J.J. Abrams will end its run next year with a 13-episode fifth season, the network confirms.

The Sci Fi Guys start your week with Cosplay? This Monday from 8pm only www.dtrn...
The Sci Fi Guys
After weeks of discussion and hints and tips from the listeners, the Sci Fi Guys return this Monday to discuss the results of, “Claws Cosplay Challenge.”

Set several weeks ago, the challenge involved Sci Fi Guy Stuart Claw creating (with a lot of help) and then actually wearing a cosplay at the recent Kitacon 4 event (http://www.kitacon.org/). But that was not all as, in an effort to better understand what Cosplay truly is and to follow in the shows trend of having interviews with people,...

Mitch Hurwitz on Arrested Development Series Reboot, Returning Characters, and M...
Doubters to the left: The Arrested Development reunion took another step toward reality on Tuesday when creator Mitch Hurwitz and several members of the cast appeared onstage together at a Netflix-sponsored event in Las Vegas. Speaking on the floor of the National Association of Broadcasters convention, Netflix chief Ted Sarandos confirmed that all ten episodes of Arrested's long-awaited fourth season will premiere together on a single day sometime next year. Hurwitz also confirmed that producti...

While the major networks pack their summer schedules with musical chairs, palaces full of STDs and catfights, and more singing than a single human can possibly consume, cable takes advantage of the open field and programs lineups that you might actually watch.
USA Network has announced its summer premiere dates, meaning we finally know when we'll be seeing more Matt Bomer. Here's the list!

Game of Thrones Renewed for Season 3
Game of Thrones
HBO just sent forth a raven bearing good news for all the realm! King Joffrey slipped in the shower and broke his neck! Well, not really. But the next best thing: The network has renewed Game of Thrones for a third season! File this under "unsurprising news," as Season 2 has gotten off to a fantastic start both critically and ratings-wise, but everything is better when it's written in stone.
Early ratings data suggests that Game of Thrones isn't done growing and is on the same sort of trajector...

FOX Makes No Bones About An Eighth Season Renewal
Bones
The last few years, the fate of whether Bones would get picked up for another season has been coming down to the wire. The last few renewals have come at or near the May deadline for network upfront presentations of their new fall lineups, but this year, fans of the saga of Boones, Booth, and the rest of the squints can breathe an early sigh of relief. EW.com reports that FOX has given the series an early pick up for an eighth round. This order will see the long-running procedural dramedy hit th...

Fringe Prepares for Its "End Game"
Fringe
How's that for a sensationalistic title? I'll go ahead and calm your fears: Fringe has not yet been cancelled, and there's still a significant chance that it will be renewed for a shortened fifth season. But that doesn't mean that the show isn't preparing for an end game of some sort.

Titles for the final stretch of episodes this season have been revealed, featuring some pretty thought-provoking stuff. Of course, Friday's episode is "Nothing As It Seems," an outing that hearkens back to the ...

NBC Renews Grimm for Season 2
Grimm
Sometimes, fairy tales do come true. Aww! Grimm, NBC's new procedural with a fairy-tale twist, joined the NBC family last fall with little fanfare behind it, a crummy Friday-night slot, and the claim of being "that other new fairy-tale show." Now it's the first new NBC series of the 2011-2012 season to make it to Season 2.
Battling fellow genre shows Fringe and Supernatural on Friday nights, Grimm has performed well enough to be one of NBC's more surprising shows, though that ain't saying much....

CBS Renews 15 Series, Including Person of Interest
It's mid-March, and networks have been eerily quiet on renewals for veteran series. Until now. CBS held a renew-a-palooza today, handing out return orders for 15 series. In fact, so many renewals were announced that it's actually easier for me to tell you which shows DIDN'T get orders for another season. So I'm sorry, CSI:NY, CSI:Miami, Unforgettable, A Gifted Man, Rules of Engagement, and Rob. Maybe you'll get some good news later.
Everyone else, break out the caviar and Triscuits, because you...

All shows will have 10-episode seasons, except for The Closer, which finishes with half a dozen.
Let's ...

HBO Cancels Luck in the Wake of Horse Fatalities Read more: http://www.tv.com/n...
Luck
This is a shocker, to say the least. HBO just announced that all production on horse-racing drama Luck, which until today had been filming its second season, will cease. For good. In other words, the show's been canceled. The decision was made with the approval of series co-creators David Milch and Michael Mann.
Word comes down just a day after a third horse died during the production of the series after the animal reared backwards, fell over, and hit its head. Vets determined that the humane t...

Nickelodeon Orders New Version of late 90s gameshow Figure It Out
Nickelodeon is reviving a 15-year-old favorite game show — Figure It Out. The cable channel has ordered 40 episodes of the new version of Figure It Out and is expected to begin production next month. Episodes will begin airing sometime later this year.

The original Figure This Out ran for four seasons, from 1997 until 1999, and was hosted by Olympic gold medalist Summer Sanders. Panelists included Kenan Thompson, Aaron Carter, Amanda Bynes, Chris Jericho, Coolio, Jack Hanna, Sherman Helmsle...

TERRA NOVA Canceled!
Terra Nova
After days, weeks, months of speculation if FOX would bring back their big budget prehistoric adventure - Terra Nova has been officially canned. We asked a few months ago if Terra Nova was a disappointment. Gathering responses from here, Twitter, Facebook, and just the internet in general – it seems to be a solid 50/50 split. Some thought it had creativity and could only get better if it had a second season. Others (like me), felt it was just another show built up from hype only to disappo...

Community Returns! Plus, NBC’s New Spring Comedy Block
Community
Dust off your favorite Dean Pelton costume, break out the Britta dance – it’s time to celebrate the return of Community! After 3 long months of torture, NBC has finally announced the day we will see our favorite study group return to the airwaves: Thursday, March 15. Despite reports that NBC was looking to move Community to a different time slot upon it’s return (presumably so as not to compete against CBS’ The Big Bang Theory), the network has decided it will stay in its current 8pm hom...

AWAKE: Watch The First 7 Minutes (VIDEO)
Awake stars Jason Isaacs (“Harry Potter,” “Brotherhood”) as a detective who finds he is leading a complex double life that defies reality. From executive producers Kyle Killen (“Lone Star”) and Howard Gordon (“Homeland,” “24?), “Awake” is an intriguing drama about Detective Michael Britten (Isaacs) who finds he’s living two parallel lives. He’s involved in a car accident that seems to have killed both his son (Dylan Minnette, “Saving Grace”) and wife (Laura Allen, ...

AWAKE: A New Unique and Captivating Drama (Advance Review)
All of us take for granted that when we go to sleep and wake up the following day, we’ll know exactly what we’ll see and who will be there. But, what if we didn’t? What if we didn’t know if our wife, daughter, friend, etc. would be there when we woke up or were, instead, dead?

Such is the life of Michael Britten (Jason Isaacs) of NBC’s highly-anticipated new drama, Awake. After being in a car accident with his wife and son, Michael wakes up to find himself in two alternate realit...

Being Human Renewed for Season 3
Being Human (US)
The lease on Josh, Aidan, and Sally's apartment has been extended! Syfy today renewed Being Human for a third season, promising 13 new episodes in (probably) 2013. The supernatural series is currently four episodes into its second season.
Being Human is a North American adaptation of the U.K. series of the same name. It's based on an absurd premise that actually works: A werewolf, a vampire, and a ghost all live in the same apartment. I know, crazy, right? But Toby Whithouse, who created the or...

House, MD: Series Ending; No Season Nine
House
All good things must come to an end and it turns out that eight seasons will be the finish of House. The series finale will air in May.

Creator David Shore and FOX have been discussing the possibility of ending the venerable series for a couple months. The initial plan was to make a decision by the end of 2011, to ensure that Shore and the writers would, if needed, have time to craft a fitting finale.

It was mutually decided to delay the decision and, at January’s Television Critics Asso...

NBC Practically Cancels The Firm, Schedules Awake
NBC has finally gone soft on The Firm and opened its eyes to Awake! Best opening sentence ever!
The Peacock made some big moves today, essentially canceling legal thriller The Firm. Based on the John Grisham novel and Tom Cruise movie of the same name, the show has been performing dismally in the Thursday-at-10pm slot, turning in a 0.8 adult rating last night. Even Univision laughs at that number. The Firm will be moved to Saturday nights at 9pm starting February 11, which is NBC's kind way of ...

It stars Enrico Colantoni (Veronica Mars' dad) and the Pink Power Ranger, and production on Season 5 wil...

Hot in Cleveland Renewed for Season 4
Hot in Cleveland
Fresh off its People's Choice Award win for Best Cable TV Comedy and not as fresh off its Emmy win for Outstanding Art Direction in a Multi-Camera Series, Hot in Cleveland has been renewed for a fourth season.
Despite a severe drop-off in viewership, the TV Land comedy is still that network's highest-profile series. Hot in Cleveland debuted to 4.8 million viewers, but the Season 3 premiere last month only netted 1.9 million viewers. Perhaps because most of its viewers died after Season 2. (Haha...

Fox Announces Its Midseason Schedule: Alcatraz, Touch, and Breaking In All Make ...
Fox’s midseason scheduling announcement is hot off the presses, and your resulting excitement should be directly proportional to how you feel about three of the network's most bankable commodities: American Idol, J.J. Abrams, and Kiefer Sutherland.
Let’s get the singing-show news out of the way: Regardless of what Fox would like you to think, The X Factor’s first season is a dud. The judges are lackluster, the contestants forgettable, the host incompetent, and the show, as a result, irrel...

The CW Says "C U L8R, H8R
The good news: Mario Lopez is now available for birthday parties, bar mitzvahs, and, you know, to just hang out. The better news: The CW has canceled its reality stunt H8R after four episodes, which is only four episodes too late.
The series, hosted by dimple-factory Lopez, facilitated meet-and-greets between normal people who talked smack about Z-list celebrities and the celebrities about which the smack-talking occurred, the idea being that the celebrities could try to convince their H8Rs not...

And so we officially have the first cancellation of the fall 2011 season; the heavily promoted period drama lasted just three episodes in its Monday-night time slot. Last night's episode registered 3.39 million viewers and a...

Ratings: Playboy Club Bombs + 2 Broke Girls a Hit
Ouch! It looks like nobody tuned into NBC’s The Playboy Club. The new drama series only drew a 1.6 adults 18-49 rating. It will be interesting to see if NBC will air next weeks episode or just cancel the series already. Even if NBC airs next weeks episode, with such a low rating it’s certain that The Playboy Club will be canceled.

ABC’s Castle scored a very solid 3.3 adults 18-49 rating — up 22% from last season’s premiere — so expect the show back next season.

CBS had a great ...

ABC Family Kills The Nine Lives of Chloe King
The Nine Lives of Chloe King
More like The Ten Episodes of Chloe King. ABC Family put the cat out for good when it canceled The Nine Lives of Chloe King yesterday due to low ratings. The series was based on the young adult novels written by Liz Braswell, about a teen girl who discovers she has feline powers and is a warrior in the battle between an ancient race and human beings. Phew, that's sounds like a lot for a young chick to handle.
The series started off well thanks to the popularity of the books, drawing more than t...

Breaking In: Cancelled TV Show Renewed for Season Two
Breaking In
It looks like Christian Slater’s bad luck on television has changed and he has another Adam F. Goldberg show to thank for it. Slater previously struck out with NBC’s My Own Worst Enemy and ABC’s the forgotten. His FOX sitcom, Breaking In, was also cancelled after one short season on FOX, but the network has now ordered a second season.

A mid-season replacement, Breaking In was cancelled in May. Shortly afterward, the network started reconsidering the decision and was working with Sony P...

Game of Thrones
OMG guys, three four more people have been cast for Season 2 of Game of Thrones, which—and I am not exaggerating one bit—is the best thing in the world ever. Irish actor Michael McElhatton will play Roose Bolton, Welsh actor Robert Pugh will play Craster, Ben Crompton will play Dolorous Edd, and Karl Davies will play a new character named Alton Lannister. The addition of Alton is likely being done in order to scrunch a few characters together so producers can contain the universe and keep ca...
