Ty Pennington plans 'British Adventure'
  UKTV has commissioned a series in which Ty Pennington will set out to help an entire Cornish town by creating a new park.

In Ty's Big British Adventure, the Extreme Makeover: Home Edition host will be charged with doing his bit to revamp the coastal town of Portreath.

Pennington will work with the local community on funding, redesigning and rebuilding the park within a week. The five-part series will air from the end of August.

BBC's 'Merlin' to go primetime in US
The BBC's new telling of Merlin is to air on primetime TV in the States.

The 13-part series, which stars One Foot In The Grave's Richard Wilson, will air in the Doctor Who slot on BBC One from the autumn. The show will then get its US outing on NBC the following Spring.

The move is a reversal of the usual import-export process, where US shows air on UK networks after their domestic broadcast.

The A-Team movie has a release date of June 12, 2009 and will be directed by John Singleton.

  A Battlestar Galactica prequel entitled Caprica has reportedly been confirmed by the Sci Fi Channel.

According to Variety, the network's president David Howe announced the production of a two-hour pilot during a presentation in New York on Tuesday. Caprica, named after the planet conquered by the villainous Cylons, will be written by Rene Aubuchon and Ronald D Moore, with Jeff Reiner set to direct. Casting will reportedly begin shortly.
