boston globe review (spoilers!):

\"i can’t say the evening was overly emotionally manipulative, or that my tear
ducts were under siege. but there were a few touching moments. early on, patrick
swayze came on stage to a standing ovation. swayze, who is battling pancreatic
cancer, appeared thin, his jaw more prominent than usual. he spoke of his hopes
for cancer research, then said, “tonight i stand here, another individual living
with cancer, who asks that we not wait any longer, and i ask only one thing of
you: please stand up with me.”

for the most part, the tone of the night was sober. rival network news anchors
katie couric, brian williams, and charlie gibson co-hosted, each one sharing his
or her personal connection to cancer. lance armstrong introduced clips of john
mccain and barack obama describing their stance on cancer -- which, by the way,
seemed oddly gratuitous. but there were attempts at lighter segments, such as
brad garrett supposedly receiving a digital rectal exam on the stage. the idea
was to make checking for cancer seem like a breeze, and so we were also shown a
“simpsons” clip in which homer gets a colonoscopy.

the night contained relatively little music. james taylor and sheryl crow
delivered a loose duet of “fire and rain,” and josh groban and monica mancini
performed an austere version of “imagine” interspersed with readings by halle
berry, jennifer garner, casey affleck, and forest whitaker.

the only “we are the world”-ish moment that might have lent itself to parody was
a performance, via remote from the rehearsal for the forthcoming “fashion rocks”
concert, by a stage crammed with beyonce, carrie underwood, rihanna, mariah
carey, fergie, mary j. blige, and others. they belted out “just stand up,” and
not a one of them was about to sit down.\"

well... the seeds / leechers counter on this one should be a lot
higher. guess
either people don't want to download it because its easier to forget or ignore
than to take time for the subject and listen, try to be inspirated and really
do something about it.

of course.... untill they lose someone close. it's not enough to see the
threat coming, for people nowadays. it really needs to hit first. and hard.
it's sad to see the generations of now (and imagine the ones to come) go
downhill so bloody fast and blindly.
i also noticed it. i noticed it
when i watched hotel rwanda. noticed it when i read your post. noticed it in
myself as well.

and i still notice it in me. it's a shame, but that's how our western world
was taught, unfortunately. no offence to the few who actually do take action;
props to you guys.

"i see no hope for the future of our people if they are dependent on
the frivolous youth of today, for certainly all youth are reckless
beyond words." [hesiod, ~700 b.c.]

apparently, "the generations to come" have always been doomed. cheer up!

these shows really piss me off!!
instead of watching this 'special' - watch this short 5 min. video instead:
most astonishing health disaster of the 20th century -
www youtube com / watch?v=fpi7zdgdqo4&feature=related

i've lost both friends and relatives to cancer... but i've also seen dozens of people listen and avail
themselves of the cure that has been known for over 50 years!! but doctors don't make millions from
prescribing it, so you wont hear it from them!! but you will hear about it from dr. schultz (below).

this cure is not new! there was a study sponsored by both yale and harvard medical schools
decades ago and their findings were published in a limited run of 1,000 copies. one man who has a
copy of this study has shared this simple cure with the world for years. he's known as the barefoot
herbalist: barefootherbalistmh com / index.php?page=home

check out his 108 page book for the answer:
barefootherbalistmh com / cms / uploads / 108.pdf

dr. richard schulze, "i do believe that everyone can be healed of any disease."
dr. schultz used to be called the "doctor to the stars" and helped several hollywood actors overcome
various kinds of cancer until the ama (american murder assoc.) drove him out of the country. so he
just took his clinic to mexico and continued to cure people of cancer. he earned the nickname "the
last chance doctor" because most people who came to him were already mostly murdered by the
traditional cancer torture "treatments." and he still had a high success rate even after the "best" doctors
did their worst to kill their former patients. you can read more here: dr. richard schulze seminar -
seattle, wa “healing cancer naturally”-
curezone com/ schulze/ handbook / healing_cancer.asp

then find & his book or audiobook: there are no incurable diseases.

i'm struggling to see how downloading this will do any good. i think everyone is
well aware of cancer and how it affects people's lives. but how would
downloading this show do any good? i would think donating money to cancer
research would be handy, or watching the actual show would help (if they
generate money from advertising revenue). if d'ling this would help find a cure,
i'll be the first to share my bandwidth, but it won't, so why would i want to
watch a show that doesn't really sound very good?

there is already a cure for cancer. its name is hemp oil. but the government
would rather pump you full of deadly chemo drugs than admit that some natural
remedies work wonders. google "phoenix tears" for more info.

i have to weigh in on this one ...

haven\\\'t watched the show yet, but heard amongst peers around the world that
i
should.

my daughter, at 13, was diagnosed with cancer in february 2007. thankfully
she is well now at 14 1/2 but 2007 was a year unlike any other i have ever
known.

right now stats stand at 1 child in 330, and that number is on the rise.

the incidence of pediatric cancer is on the rise people! its not just an old
persons disease and can happen to anyone of or our children. we should be as
informed as we can about this disease, even for those unborn as yet.

and yes, i am very open to natural cure which finally is being researched in
the medical communities.

in the meantime, i keep her well with every natural remedy that seems
appropriate.

don\\\'t forget kids get cancer too.

kahbrit.
