i've got a couple of audio problem with this release. first- the levels are much
lower than last week's, and secondly, there is a loud burst of static at 27:36
that is only intensified by my having to turn my amplifier to make up for the
low volume during the rest of the episode. my guess is that someone normalized
the audio without looking at the levels for pops. as such, is there any hope
for a repack/proper, or should i just wait to see if someone capped the nbc
broadcast tonight?

i noticed a small transient, but and there were one or two small hics in the
video, but nothing big. still, the performance of "fields of gold" by sting in
the last segment is deeply moving, and it would be worth having a perfect audio
track if just for that. i googled after the show and couldn't find the version
of the song he plays with the lute on studio 60 on any of his recordings,
including the last one "labyrinth", so this may be the only way to get it,
unless he has performed it live elsewhere.
