under the dome is an american science-fiction/horror television series developed by brian k. vaughan based upon the novel of the same name by stephen king.danish director niels arden oplev (the girl with the dragon tattoo) will direct the pilot plot: set in the not too distant future, under the dome tells the story of the residents of the small town of chester's mill, maine who suddenly find themselves cut off from the rest of the world by a mysterious, impenetrable barrier that surrounds the town. as the town begins to tear itself apart through panic, a small group of people attempt to maintain peace and order while also trying to uncover the truth behind the barrier and how to escape from it. main cast: mike vogel as dale "barbie" barbara, an army veteran in town on a mysterious mission. rachelle lefevre as julia shumway, an investigative reporter who takes an interest in barbie. colin ford as joe mcalister, a smart teenager whose parents are outside the barrier. natalie martinez as deputy linda esquivel, a loyal and ambitious sheriff's deputy. dean norris as james "big jim" rennie, politician and owner of jim rennie's used cars, who seeks to use the dome as a way to gain control of chester's mill. alexander koch as junior rennie, big jim's emotionally disturbed son. britt robertson as angie mcalister, an aspiring nurse with dreams of escaping the town. aisha hinds as carolyn hill, a los angeles entertainment attorney who is trapped in the town with her partner and teenage daughter. nicholas strong as phil bushey, a popular radio dj with a dark secret. jolene purdy as dodee weaver, a radio engineer who makes contact with the outside world.[12] |

it was announced in november 2012 that cbs had bypassed ordering a pilot and given under the dome a thirteen-episode straight-to-series commitment. when the dome appears/falls into the ground "burns" the blood and cauterizes the wounds and coagulates the blood, plus, it is apparently something static, which could have a repellent factor when it was generated, remember it causes an electric shock at first, that could make the blood be expelled from the surface of the dome |

well that was annoying. i wasn't intending on enjoying that. and i did. now i've got a damn week to wait. what a shonker.. ohno, it's going to be another 'the event/lost' deal where they string you along and along and along.. breaking eztvs irc channel where they'll have to hand out+m's like candy to stop all the "is it out yet?" questions, and then they'll leave us with some twaddle like it was all a dream in a coma that happened in the future or some bunk. spieeelberg... *said in professor farnsworth voice* *shakes fist* |
