"in association with farragut films and dracogen investments, vic mignogna (a farragut films principal), is set to direct this new web series based on the original (and still the best) star trek series. the premise of the series is based on the original 5-year voyage. the original series ended three years into the journey. vic and his team are starting this new series right where the original left off." taken from : http://www.startrekcontinues.com |

"star trek continues" a fan film weberies -- what happens when you throw a rag-tag team of entertainment professionals, who also happen to be huge star trek fans, together? one of the most acclaimed fan-produced star trek (tos: the originl series) webseries ever created. vic mignogna and team are proud to be part of star trek history with the fan production aimed at completing the final two years of the original 5-year mission. we love the original series of our favorite science fiction fix - star trek! keep your eyes open on this site (http://www.startrekcontinues.com/) for new episodes and information on our production as we will release it here first. episode one: pilgrim of eternity -- when the enterprise meets up with an anomaly, a nemesis returns to create havoc for kirk while scotty battles the past to make the right decision for him, his fellow crewmates and what was once an enemy. sources: official page: http://www.startrekcontinues.com/ facebook: https://www.facebook.com/startrekcontinues twitter: https://twitter.com/trekcontinues google+: https://plus.google.com/106680433720316674474#106680433720316674474/posts kickstarter: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/125377036/star-trek-continues-webseries update: added a new show information page: http://eztv.it/shows/979/star-trek-continues/ show description, air dates, show resources, and torrent links. |

heard about series like this. it's mainly fans who act the scripts out themselves. let's see how awfull the acting is shall we? edit: yup it's bad, but old school trek fans will probably eat it up. the rest of us will just shake our heads and move on. it would be a great thing to watch if you're baked though. shame i don't touch the stuff... |

it's actually better than the original in many ways and has a decent budget. i think they need a better mccoy and spock but the others are spot on. scotty in this episode is actually the son of the original and it blows your mind how accurate he plays the part. it's worth watching if you are a fan of the original. they are running a kickstarter if anyone is interested. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/125377036/star-trek-continues-webseries |

well, it's 2013 now, and tos was made in the late 1960's, so do the math an you'll see it's bound to be better than the original. tos is easy pickings really, it would be much harder to do a decent tng webseries. as not-a-fan, but more of a casual star trek viewer, i just snicker at this. it's not bad, it's just extremely corny to today's standards. trekkies of course, will love this. mainly because they have to because the little spock in their head says so... |

the kirk and scotty performances are spot on. spock and mccoy could be better. the others aren't all that important, but aren't too bad. |

yeah never-mind that mccoy and spock are what carried the show to begin with. kirk is a fairly archetypal character and needs spock and mccoy to make any acting interesting. uhura, chekov, sulu and mr.scott may have well developed characters but there is little to make their perspective that strong or distinct since they are just subordinates (which is where overall i think tng was better) i applaud the effort to bring back star trek but i think trying to continue the first series was a grave mistake on many fronts, they would have been better off starting over or trying to introduce something we have yet to see in the star trek universe such as star trek combined with a darker, less safe story tone, like the one that made bsg a success. one of the downfalls of most star trek stories and especially the old series ones is that by the end of the day nothing changed. edit: having watched it i must say the acting and casting are even worse than expected especially for the main three characters: kirk who should be confident and self-possessed seems overly tense in his pose(even more than i am on camara) and somewhat annoyed geek. in fact i would cast the guy who plays kirk as dr leonard mccoy. spock and dr.mccoy seem to completely lack the attributes that made their characters appealing. also aggressive mr.scott with anger issues? i have to wonder if these is contributed by director and writing which is of course the problem with trying to present the series as a successor. i'm not saying the actors are bad, its just that half of them don't fit the roles . the antagonist's performance was more convincing of course. the story itself does fit the style of the original series.. can't say i like it that much (the original series stories that i did like were more in the style of the pc games 25th anniversary and rites of judgement) |

"heard about series like this. it's mainly fans who act the scripts out themselves. let's see how awfull the acting is shall we?" i didn't realise that, but i knew knew there was something weird going on, the actors looked off somehow, but some of the acting is actually not bad ...can't believe how close it is to the old star trek ...it's an authentic reboot of one of the greatest series ever made. |

these actors need to stop acting with there hands and those facial expressions in some of the scenes are too funny it was like some one was jabbing them in the butt with a stick. |
