proper now?

anyway better late than never thanks eztv!
[#54431] Written by: BIGray [06/09/2007, 00:55]
im guessing this one is in sync
[#54432] Written by: aussiemadmum [06/09/2007, 01:15]
the first one is only out of sync for about 10 mins. but it is watchable. but
if you haven't downloaded that one, this proper will obviously be better.

perfect quality.

that sync issue was only visible on some players. xbmc seemed to correct for
it automaticly. is that the only diffrence? just wondering if i should
download this or not? as i never even had syncing issues if that is the sole
reason i'll skip this one.

i know that this will bring howls of derision from those who will say that not
everyone has the same taste in tv shows etc etc etc, but i still have to say
that this is a really crappy show. there , it's said, protest away.

i saw the pre-air back a while and thought it was fantastic, thanks eztv from
bognor regis england.

also saw it a few weeks back. has potential but needs better writing than the
pilot demonstrated. the finale was really lame and predictable.
who uses a laptop as a timer, when a casio et al will do the job? and easier.
... the screen displaying the digital countdown (i started laughing, falling
outside the moment, i forgot to be enthralled and to hold my breath omg would
chuck disable the timer in time?).

this version seems to have some problems.

first, the good stuff. the quality seems a lot better. they also took out the
lame running through the men's spa with a bunch of old naked men and being
repulsed by the sight joke. (it repulsed me too. it was out of place, so no
great loss.)

bad stuff - they forgot to put chuck's dial tone back in during the defusing
the bomb scene (...any way you want it, that's the way you need it...). i
laughed my ass off when i originally heard it because that is some old
caucasion music (and yes, i'm caucasion). there's a continuity problem in
the car crash (after it's first hit the tag hangs down, then it's up again,
then it's back down where it's supposed to be). last, but not least, chuck's
cheek in the beach scene...i don't even know how to describe it - it's like
there's a problem with the digitalization. it wiggles. it's a bit distracting
in a dramatic scene. i'm sure they'll have all those parts fixed before it
really airs.

i still love chuck! i can't wait.

but seriously it really is different
[#54498] Written by: azrx [06/09/2007, 08:13]
it's a pretty decent show, that needs a little better writing.

yourmomma was right about the spa scene - totally unnecessary. overall, the editing seemed a lot tighter
- seemed like almost 20 seconds was trimmed off making it a lot punchier.

i also agree about the laptop, why the heck did he need that - and the comic relief about the cell phone
going off was overplayed - who the heck would answer their phone. on the other hand, his phone could
ring which would trigger his "brain programming", and he could disarm a real timer.

if they are going to rely on him being a nerd - they at least have to try to get technology correct.

it has potential, especially with the cia and nsa agents assigned to him. there is a lot they can play with
there. better writing and better technological consultants would be great.

possible spoilers

i quite enjoyed this.

after the opening sequence i figured any computer/tech related segments
shouldn't be taken any more seriously than those in the movie hackers, so the
timer bit didn't bother me, any more than the coincidence of that computer being
the exact same make and model as the one earlier in the store.

and, to be honest, he didn't come across as that much of a nerd anyway. from my
own experience it seems like any trained monkey can work in the tech support
departments of big retail stores. that isn't a criticism of the show though.

i'll look forward to seeing what they can do with this. hopefully it'll be given
a chance to build on the initial idea.

i enjoyed the show.

his work situation reminds me a bit of the dane cook/jessica simpson movie
employee of the month, with him competing for the job with comical outcomes.
the store (large mart) he went to to buy locks looks quite a bit like the
store in which that movie was set. just a wierd vibe that makes me want to
say "and the pickles!!!"

not that i care either way but it seems like a really odd thing to post when
even you it might cause an issue, that's what i think they call fishing for a
fight lol.

i didn't notice any sync issues with mpc,
