bc family, the family-est cable channel for tweens on all of television, conducted some major business today with a renewal for one of its biggest hits and a pair of new-series pickups. the huge news is that the secret life of the american teenager will return for a fifth season, ensuring it will eclipse the magic 100-episode mark. it also means that talented star shailene woodley will be too busy to move on to bigger and better things for a while. shailene's character amy started the series as a 15-year old, so the show may need to be renamed by the end of the season. the fam also gave a series order to baby daddy, a new comedy that deals with even more teens getting knocked up and in way over their heads. where's the abc family show about teens who turn their homework in on time and have perfect attendance? where's the regular life of the college-bound teen? i'd watch pretty little studiers.
