back when you were not the all knowing that you are now. you must have had to
ask someone how things work. newbies just need a little help, that's all.
granted, some questions may be completely lazy and not warrant a response.
maybe have a thread aimed at the newbies. maybe then kind-hearted souls will
take pity once in a while and answer the dumb questions, and hopefully the same

i appreciate your post and you seem like a genuine guy so i won't be too harsh.
but, i respectfully disagree with most of what you said. it's true i was a
newbie once. but everything i learned.. i learned on my own. i didn't feel it
necessary to ask questions that can be answered sometimes with just a cursory
search on google or on the respective website.
while it's true that i've probably asked somebody how something worked at one
point in time, it was never ever my first venue of choice. it was always
preceded by my own personal efforts before i even consider asking someone. can
you honestly tell me that someone who asks "how many episodes are in this
season?" or "when does the next ep air" have searched on their own first? i
seriously doubt it.. and if they claim they have, then they're just blatantly
lying.
as for your suggestion for a thread aimed at newbies.. i believe the admins
already have something similar to that. if not, you start one.. catering to
newbies is not my dream in life so to speak.
again, appreciate your ideas and i hope i've clarified my positions a little
better.
