Marking its second fall season pick-up in as many days, ABC has granted a 13-episode order to Flash Forward, an action-drama based on Robert J. Sawyer's novel of the same name.
Starring Joseph Fiennes (Shakespeare in Love), Flash Forward chronicles the aftermath of a global event in which everyone in the world blacks out for 2 minutes, 17 seconds, and has mysterious visions of six months into the future.
The series' pick-up is not surprising, as ABC has been teasing it for the past two wee...

The Biggest Loser (8.9 mil) was the biggest loser of the night at Idol's hand, shedding 13 percent of its week-ago audience.

In one of the articles I was reading, a line in the opening paragraph said:
“…Dollhouse, has convinced him to abandon TV for good. His alternative medium: Web serials.â€
Wow. Is that for real?
Wharton University of Pennsylvania was talking about how Joss Whedon wants to change the way Hollywood does business. As I’ve said before, he’s working within the system when he doesn’t balk at things like getting his new show shoved to Friday nights. Then aga...
Has Fox successfully revived Friday sci-fi? The numbers have processed through my tricorder, and here are some of the major notes:

Now this is peculiar. Caprica's two-hour pilot/TV movie will debut on DVD on April 10.
That's at least eight months before the Battlestar Galactica prequel begins its 22-episode run on the Sci Fi Channel. Just last month, in fact, BSG producers Ron Moore and David Eick confirmed to TVGuide.com's Nerd High Priestess Erin Fox that Caprica wouldn't premiere on the Sci Fi Channel until 2010.
Caprica traces the story of two families, the Adamas and the Greystones. Eric Stoltz stars as Daniel Gr...
Is there a third Winchester sibling among us? It certainly would seem so, and Jake Abel (Threshold) is playing him.
Abel has been cast on the CW's Supernatural as Adam Milligan, an 18-year-old whom Sam and Dean meet in an episode titled "Jump the Shark" and airing April 23.
Adam, viewers will learn, is the by-product of a little somethin'-somethin' that big daddy John enjoyed during one of his demon hunts. Upon eventually being told by a onetime paramour of Adam's paternity, John...

Who would've thought The A-Team would work in 2009? OK, so Leverage is slicker, better scripted, and it features 89% less explosions than The A-Team, but the show's concept sure reminds me of Hannibal and B.A. Baracus' 1980s exploits as "soldiers of fortune."
TNT's freshman drama centers on a group of criminals turned Robin Hoods who pull off elaborate schemes to take down the dirty dogs of corporate America. So far, Leverage has earned decent ratings and high praise from critics (...

US TV is a graveyard of really good shows that have had to give way thanks to the onslaught of reality television, the trouble in attracting ratings and the general cowardice of commissioning executives. Here are some that went to their maker far too soon, with a few British entries in there too…

Viewers didn't show much enthusiasm for Thanksgiving leftovers since the majority of the scripted shows were in repeats, but since it was Friday, CBS still took home the ratings prize.
CBS topped the evening in households with a 4.1 rating/7 share, just ahead of ABC's 3.8/7. Third place went to FOX for its 2.1/4, followed by NBC's 1.8/3 and The CW's 1.1/2.
ABC, however, was the winner among adults 18-49 with a 1.9, followed by CBS' 1.4, NBC's 1.2, FOX's 1.0 and The CW's 0.6.
The NBC TV show that brought Christian Slater to weekly television was cancelled after just four weeks on the air. Production on My Own Worst Enemy shut down after nine episodes and it looks like NBC has plans to air all of them. One of the series’ stars, Madchen Amick, is confused by the network’s decision to cancel the show and has a theory as to why it may have happened.
My Own Worst Enemy debuted on October 13th on NBC. The action drama follows a man (Slater) who has two dis...
"Grey's Anatomy" and "E.R." both delivered strong performances on Thursday, but it wasn't enough to top CBS' across-the-board strength.
Overall, CBS averaged a 9.0 rating/14 share for the night, easily beating the 7.5/12 for ABC and NBC's 5.0/8. FOX's 3.1/5 and The CW's 2.6/4 trailed.
